En la prepa es la etapa en la que los adolescentes descubren realmente quiénes son. Es algo que quienes nos dedicamos a la educación tenemos muy en cuenta. Sin embargo, el rol de la familia en el proceso formativo es imprescindible. El rol familiar juega un papel importante en la educación de los estudiantes, dado que es en casa donde se transmiten valores, principios y emociones, que permiten al alumno desenvolverse en el ambiente educativo.
La importancia de la familia en este importante proceso radica porque desde el nacimiento se inicia la preparación del individuo en diferentes aspectos: capacidad de dar afecto, tolerancia, relación con la sociedad, factor económico, disponibilidad de tiempo, valores, cultura, etc., por ende, el hogar es la primera escuela donde se forman los niños.
Pero todo esto va más allá y es por ello que en este artículo vamos a analizar cómo es que la familia debe involucrarse en esta etapa tan importante.

En ocasiones algunos padres de familia dan un paso atrás en lo que respecta a la formación de los chicos. Piensan que es una manera de ayudarlos en su maduración. Aunque es verdad que deben fomentar a que los muchachos tomen sus propias decisiones y que las respeten, es necesario que estén presentes en cada paso. Hemos visto cómo incluso en la secundaria, algunos adolescentes carecen de la cercanía con sus padres o quienes representan esa figura dentro de su familia. Definitivamente es un grave error. Si bien es verdad que están en una edad de retos, el rol de la familia en el proceso formativo es esencial.
La atención de las personas en torno a los adolescentes es algo que tenemos muy presente en Land school. Para ello los maestros, que son las personas que después de los padres, pasan más tiempo con los chicos, se preparan para destinar tiempo para ofrecer una educación personalizada. Pensamos que la formación académica es muy importante siempre que no se descuide las necesidades del alumno.
